How to Delete or Close Your TikTok Shop

July 11, 2026 by staff

What to Know

  • Close your shop in Seller Center → My Account → Account Settings → Close Shop Account.
  • You must first have no open orders for 90 days, deactivate all listings, settle every payment and fee, and clear disputes.
  • Closing is permanent and irreversible, and there’s a 30-day public closure notice before it finalizes.

Decided TikTok Shop isn’t for you? Closing a shop is deliberately harder than opening one — TikTok requires you to settle everything first. Here’s exactly what’s required and how to do it.

How to close or delete your TikTok Shop account permanently in Seller Center

Before you can close: the checklist

TikTok won’t let you close until your shop is fully wound down. You need to:

  • Have no new or open orders for 90 days.
  • Deactivate all listings so nothing is for sale.
  • Resolve all disputes and any frozen-withdrawal violations.
  • Settle all payments and fees — no outstanding balance either way.
  • Complete the 30-day public closure notice period.

How to close your TikTok Shop

  1. Go to Seller Center → My Account → Account Settings.
  2. Select Close Shop Account.
  3. Verify your information when prompted.
  4. Work through the closure checklist — TikTok flags anything still outstanding.
  5. Read and confirm the policy, then submit.
This can’t be undone. Once you confirm, the closure application cannot be canceled. You’ll permanently lose access to your products, order history, and the services tied to the account. If you only want a break, consider deactivating your listings instead of closing the shop.

Close vs. pause

If you’re not sure you want out for good, you don’t have to close. You can deactivate your listings so nothing sells while you decide, and reactivate them later. Closing the account is the permanent option — choose it only when you’re certain.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reopen a closed TikTok Shop?

No. Closure is permanent. You’d have to apply for a brand-new shop from scratch, subject to eligibility at that time.

Why won’t TikTok let me close my shop?

Almost always an unmet requirement — an open order, an active listing, an unresolved dispute, or an unsettled balance. The checklist in Seller Center shows what’s blocking you.

What happens to money still in my account?

You must settle and withdraw your balance before closing. See how to withdraw money from TikTok Shop to clear it out first.
